MyPattern ("we," "our," or "us") provides a personalized tinnitus relief program including frequency-matched sound therapy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Contact Data

Name, email address, and related account details.

1.2 Tinnitus Assessment Responses

Your responses to the tinnitus assessment, including information about your tinnitus type, frequency, severity, sleep impact, and related symptoms.

1.3 Tinnitus Profile & Frequency Data

Your identified tinnitus frequency (in Hz), tinnitus type classification, and personalized therapy settings generated from your assessment.

This data is used only for your account to provide personalized sound therapy and is never sold. We may use de-identified, aggregated tinnitus frequency data to improve our algorithms.

1.4 Therapy Progress & Activity

Data about your engagement with the sound therapy program, including session duration, frequency of use, therapy mode preferences, and progress tracking.

1.5 Usage & Device Data

Log data, pages viewed, diagnostic information to maintain and improve the service.

1.6 Payment Data

Payments are processed by our payment processor. We receive only limited information necessary to confirm payment.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the MyPattern tinnitus relief service.
  • Identify your tinnitus frequency and generate personalized sound therapy protocols.
  • Deliver your personalized sound therapy sessions (Notch, Mask, Blend modes).
  • Track your therapy progress and adjust recommendations.
  • Process payments and provide support communications.
  • Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Develop new features and therapy improvements (where permitted).

We do not use your health data or personal information for advertising or sale.

3. Sharing Your Information

We may share information in these limited circumstances:

  • With service providers (e.g., cloud hosting providers, payment processors) who process data strictly on our behalf.
  • To comply with law, protect rights and safety, and respond to lawful requests.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your personal information or health data.

4. Data Retention

  • Assessment responses: Retained so you can access your tinnitus profile and track changes over time. You may delete your assessment data at any time in your account settings.
  • Tinnitus profile & frequency: Retained for as long as your account is active, since they are required to provide your personalized sound therapy. You may delete your profile at any time, but doing so will reset your therapy settings.
  • Therapy progress: Retained until you delete them or delete your account.
  • Account deletion: Immediately deletes all your assessment data, tinnitus profile, and therapy progress from our systems.

5. Your Rights & Controls

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

In-app controls:

  • Delete your assessment data
  • Delete your tinnitus profile and frequency data
  • Delete your account (which deletes all data)

6. Data Security

We employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is role-based and audited. No method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Eligibility

MyPattern is intended for individuals aged 18 and over.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
